Community Day
S.A.V.E.S. supports the New Direction Church signature “give back” community event by connecting community residents with health care, education and career resources.
Safe Streets Jobs Initiative
S.A.V.E.S. summer job program for teens. The program focuses on life skills, integrity and mentorship.
Teen Lock-in
S.A.V.E.S. all-night teen event, where teens have a safe environment to participate to have fun, participate in workshops, and STEM and youth development activities.
Parent University
S.A.V.E.S. partners with the Metropolitan Indianapolis Central Indiana Area Health Education Center (MICI-AHEC) to provide workshop sessions to parents and guardians with children planning to attend college.
Senior Saturdays
S.A.V.E.S. is committed to the community and these designated dates are an opportunity to help the seniors in the area with chores around their home, mostly exterior yard work.
Community Clean-up
S.A.V.E.S. believes a clean community brings pride to the community, and partners with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to keep the neighborhood clean.
Healthcare Programs/Resources
S.A.V.E.S. partners with MICI-AHEC to offer health career certifications for adults interested in pursuing a health career. Additionally, the partnership will recruit high school students interested in health careers to participate in a 20-week Saturday program offering an $800 stipend and a six week summer program offering a $1,200 stipend upon completion of the program for underserved and disadvantaged youth.
